The Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 and Terrorism Act 2000 (Certain Information Orders: Code of Practice) Regulations 2024

The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 339ZL(5) of the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 (“the 2002 Act”)1 and by section 22F(5) of the Terrorism Act 2000 (“the 2000 Act”)2.

In accordance with section 459(4)(azab) and (6ZBB) of the 2002 Act3 and section 123(4)(aza) of the 2000 Act4 a draft of this instrument has been laid before and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.

The Secretary of State has—

1. a

   under section 339ZL(1) and (9) of the 2002 Act and section 22F(1) and (9) of the 2000 Act made a code of practice;

2. b

   in accordance with section 339ZL(2), (3) and (4) of the 2002 Act and section 22F(2), (3) and (4) of the 2000 Act, published a draft of the code of practice, considered any representations made about the draft, modified the draft as the Secretary of State thought appropriate in the light of any such representations and laid the draft before Parliament.
