The Sanctions (Isle of Man) (Revocations) Order 2024

The King's Most Excellent Majesty in Council
His Majesty, in pursuance of section 63(3)(b) of the Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Act 2018(), is pleased, by and with the advice of His Privy Council, to make the following Order:
Citation, commencement and extent
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Sanctions (Isle of Man) (Revocations) Order 2024 and comes into force on 3rd October 2024.
(2) This Order extends to the Isle of Man.
Revocations
2. The following Orders are revoked—
(a)the Global Human Rights Sanctions (Isle of Man) Order 2020();
(b)the Global Anti-Corruption Sanctions (Isle of Man) Order 2021();
(c)the Myanmar (Sanctions) (Isle of Man) Order 2021();
(d)the Haiti (Sanctions) (Isle of Man) Order 2022();
(e)the Iran (Sanctions) (Isle of Man) Order 2023(); and
(f)the Haiti (Sanctions) (Isle of Man) (Amendment) Order 2023().

Explanatory Note
This Order revokes the Orders listed below, which extended to the Isle of Man with modifications the corresponding Regulations listed below. These Orders are revoked because they are now redundant. This is in consequence of legislation made by the Isle of Man, namely the Sanctions Act 2024 (an Act of Tynwald: c. 2), which enables the government of the Isle of Man to give effect to UK sanctions provisions in the Isle of Man, and the Sanctions (Implementation of UK Sanctions) Regulations 2024 (Statutory Document No. 2024/0118), which were made under the Act and give effect to the Regulations listed below.
