Transitional provision in relation to independent visitors for looked after children
10. Where on the relevant day a person has been appointed as an independent visitor in accordance with regulations made under paragraph 17 of Schedule 2 to the 1989 Act(1) for a child who is looked after by a local authority in accordance with Part 3 of that Act, on and after that day the person is deemed to be appointed as an independent visitor for that child in accordance with regulations made under section 98 of the Act(2).
