Transitional provision in relation to decisions to refuse contact with a child in care

Any decision taken by a local authority in accordance with section 22(3)(a) of the 1989 Act to refuse contact with a child who is in the care of the local authority, that it would otherwise be required to allow in accordance with section 34(1) of the 1989 Act, will on and after the relevant day be treated as if the decision had been made in accordance with section 78(1)(a) of the Act.
