The Welsh Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 48 of the Social Partnership and Public Procurement (Wales) Act 2023(1), make the following Order:
1.—(1) The title of this Order is the Social Partnership and Public Procurement (Wales) Act 2023 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2023.
(2) In this Order, “the Act” means the Social Partnership and Public Procurement (Wales) Act 2023.
2. The following provisions of the Act come into force on 29 July 2023—
(a)section 1;
(b)section 2;
(c)section 3;
(d)section 4;
(e)section 5;
(f)section 6;
(g)section 7;
(h)section 8;
(i)section 11;
(j)section 12;
(k)section 13;
(l)section 14;
(m)section 46;
(n)section 47;
(o)section 49.
3. The following provisions of the Act come into force on 1 April 2024—
(a)section 15;
(b)section 16;
(c)section 18;
(d)section 20.

This Order made by the Welsh Minsters brings into force certain provisions of the Social Partnership and Public Procurement (Wales) Act 2023 (asc 1) (“the Act”).
Article 2 of this Order brings the following provisions of the Act into force on 29 July 2023—
(a)section 1 (Social Partnership Council for Wales);
(b)section 2 (membership of the Social Partnership Council for Wales);
(c)section 3 (employer representatives);
(d)section 4 (worker representatives);
(e)section 5 (nomination of appointed members);
(f)section 6 (duration of appointments);
(g)section 7 (meetings, procedures and administrative support);
(h)section 8 (subgroups);
(i)section 11 (meeting remotely);
(j)section 12 (expenses);
(k)section 13 (supplementary powers);
(l)section 14 (interpretation of Part 1);
(m)section 46 (general interpretation);
(n)section 47 (minor amendment of the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015 (anaw 2));
(o)section 49 (short title).
Article 3 of this Order brings the following provisions of the Act into force on 1 April 2024—
(a)section 15 (overview of Part and interpretation);
(b)section 16 (social partnership duty);
(c)section 18 (social partnership reports);
(d)section 20 (fair work).
