The Welsh Ministers make these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by Articles 9(1), 10(5) and 18A(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1831/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council on additives for use in animal nutrition(1).

There has been consultation as required by Article 9 of Regulation (EC) No 178/2002 of the European Parliament and of the Council laying down the general principles and requirements of food law, establishing the European Food Safety Authority and laying down procedures in matters of food safety(2).

Title and coming into force

1.  The title of these Regulations is the Feed Additives (Authorisations) and Uses of Feed Intended for Particular Nutritional Purposes (Amendment of Commission Regulation (EU) 2020/354) (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2025, and they come into force on 31 March 2025.

2.—(1) The Feed Additives (Authorisations) and Uses of Feed Intended for Particular Nutritional Purposes (Amendment of Commission Regulation (EU) 2020/354) (Wales) Regulations 2024(3) are amended as follows.

(2) In regulation 2(1), in the English language text, for “Regulation 767/2009” substitute “Regulation (EC) No 767/2009.

(3) In regulation 4(1), in the Welsh language text, for “a Rheoliadau diwygio” substitute “ac sy’n diwygio Rheoliadau”.

(4) In regulation 13(4), in the Welsh language text, after “sy’n gymwys” insert “yn union”.

(5) In regulation 14(3), in the Welsh language text, after “sy’n gymwys” insert “yn union”.

(6) In regulation 16(3), in the Welsh language text, after “sy’n gymwys” insert “yn union”.

(7) In Schedule 8, in the Welsh language text, in the table, in the row for “Darpariaethau eraill”, in the second column, in point 4, in the first bullet point, before “essential trace elements” insert “of”.

(8) In Schedule 11, in the Welsh language text, in the words before the table, for “technegol” substitute “technolegol”.

(9) In Schedule 13, in the Welsh language text, in the table, in the row for “Darpariaethau eraill”, in the second column, in point 2, for “Gellir” substitute “Caniateir”.

(10) In Schedule 16, in the Welsh language text, in the table, in the row for “Nodweddiad y sylwedd(au) actif”, in the second column, for “elfennau” substitute “cydrannau”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations make minor corrections to the Feed Additives (Authorisations) and Uses of Feed Intended for Particular Nutritional Purposes (Amendment of Commission Regulation (EU) 2020/354) (Wales) Regulations 2024 (S.I. 2024/1251 (W. 209)).

The Welsh Ministers’ Code of Practice on the carrying out of Regulatory Impact Assessments was considered in relation to these Regulations. As a result, it was not considered necessary to carry out a regulatory impact assessment as to the likely costs and benefits of complying with these Regulations.
