A payment that is a permitted payment by virtue of paragraph 3 of Schedule 1 (which permits the payment of holding deposits) is to be treated as having been made on the terms set out in Schedule 2.

Subsection (1) does not apply in relation to a payment made before the coming into force of Schedule 2.
