Repeal of Unnecessary Laws Act (Northern Ireland) 1953
An Act to repeal certain enactments and to make provision for certain matters arising out of such repeal.
S. 1, with Schedule, effects repeals with savings
2Special provision with respect to repeal of portion of the Lands Clauses Consolidation Act, 1845.
Where, if this Act had not repealed the provisionsF1 of the Lands Clauses Consolidation Act, 1845, set out in Part II of the Schedule to this Act the amount of any compensation payable in respect of the compulsory acquisition of any lands would fall to be determined under those provisions, that amount shall be determined as if it were a question of disputed compensation to which theF2 Land Compensation (Northern Ireland) Order 1982F2, applies and any costs incurred in connection therewith shall be dealt with in accordance withF2 Article 5 of that OrderF2.
3Short title.
This Act may be cited as the Repeal of Unnecessary Laws Act (Northern Ireland), 1953.
