There shall be a tribunal to be known as the Mental Health Tribunal for Scotland (in this Act referred to as “the Tribunal”).

The Tribunal shall discharge such functions as are conferred on it by virtue of this Act.

Regulations may make such provision in connection with the Tribunal as the Scottish Ministers consider appropriate.

Schedule 2 to this Act (which makes provision as respects the Tribunal and its proceedings) shall have effect.
