Every local authority, verifier and certifier must provide the Scottish Ministers with such reports and information as the Scottish Ministers may require in relation to the functions of the authority, verifier or certifier under this Act.

Any local authority, verifier or certifier which knowingly or recklessly provides information in pursuance of a requirement under subsection (1) which is false or misleading in a material particular is guilty of an offence.
