I153Interpretation

In Part 1 of this Act, “council” means a council constituted under section 2 of the Local Government etc. (Scotland) Act 1994 (c. 39).

In Part 2 of this Act—

  • F1“authorised person” has the meaning given in section 18A(1),

  • “the Commissioner” has the meaning given by section 16 above;

  • F2“the 1984 Act” means the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984, and

  • “the 1991 Act” means the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (c. 22).

Expressions used in Part 2 of this Act and in the 1991 Act have, in this Act, the same meaning as in that Act.
