30Directions

The Authority must comply with any direction (whether general or specific) given to it by the Scottish Ministers.

The Agency must comply with any direction (whether general or specific) given to it by the Scottish Ministers.

The Scottish Ministers may not give directions to the Agency in respect of—
a
particular operations which the Agency is carrying out (or is to carry out); or
b
the way in which the Agency is carrying out (or is to carry out) such operations.

Where the Scottish Ministers give a direction to the Authority or the Agency, the Scottish Ministers—
a
must arrange for the direction to be published in such manner as they consider appropriate;
b
may vary or revoke the direction.
