21Mode of construction and operation of tramway

The authorised tramway shall be operated by electricity or, in an emergency or for the purposes of maintenance, by diesel power or other means.

The authorised road tramway and authorised tramroad shall be constructed on a nominal gauge of 1435 millimetres.
