Paragraph 13 (as amended by paragraph 18 above) is renumbered as sub-paragraph (1) of paragraph 13 and after it there is inserted—

Sub-paragraph (1)(b) does not require the Parliamentary corporation to pay any expenses which exceed or are otherwise not covered by a budget or, as the case may be, a revised budget approved under paragraph 12D.

However, the Parliamentary corporation may pay those expenses.

The Parliamentary corporation is to indemnify the Ombudsman in respect of any liabilities incurred in the exercise of the functions of the Ombudsman.
