Grant of warrants
56Grant of warrants for execution by constables and police members of SCDEA

A sheriff or justice of the peace does not lack power or jurisdiction to grant a warrant for execution by a person mentioned in subsection (2) solely because the person is not a constable of a police force for a police area lying wholly or partly in the sheriff's or justice's sheriffdom.

The persons referred to in subsection (1) are—
a
a constable,
b
police member of the Scottish Crime and Drug Enforcement Agency.
