After section 134 of the 2005 Act insert—

134AOffence of knowingly making a false statement in an application

(1)A person who knowingly makes a false statement in an application under this Act commits an offence.

(2)A person guilty of an offence under subsection (1) is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding level 3 on the standard scale..
