Where a person ceases to be a reservoir manager of a controlled reservoir, the person must, not later than 28 days after ceasing to be reservoir manager, give notice to SEPA of that fact and the date on which the person ceased to be reservoir manager.
I2I32
A person who becomes a reservoir manager of a controlled reservoir must, not later than 28 days after becoming reservoir manager, give notice to SEPA of that fact and the date on which the person became reservoir manager.

Where SEPA receives notice under subsection (1) or (2), it must take such steps as it considers are reasonably required to inform the new reservoir manager, as soon as is reasonably practicable, of the duties of reservoir managers of controlled reservoirs under this Part.

The Scottish Ministers may by regulations make provision requiring SEPA—
a
to prepare and publish guidance on registration,
b
to consult the Institution of Civil Engineers in relation to the preparation of such guidance.
