There is to be a constabulary to be known as the Police Service of Scotland(or, in Gaelic, Seirbheis Phoilis na h-Alba ) comprising—
a
a constable holding the office of chief constable,
b
one or more constables holding the office of deputy chief constable,
c
one or more constables holding the office of assistant chief constable, and
d
other individuals holding the office of constable.
