Child Poverty (Scotland) Act 2017

Section 16 – Commencement

51.Section 16 sets out the timescales for the commencement of different provisions within the Act. Subsection (1) provides for sections 14 and 17 to come into force the day after Royal Assent is granted. Subsection (2) provides for section 8 and the schedule relating to the Poverty and Inequality Commission to come into force on 1 July 2019. Subsection (3) provides that all other provisions within the Act will come into force two months after the day on which Royal Assent is granted.
