64Sharing of information with the chief constable

The Scottish Ministers may make available to the chief constable any information mentioned in subsection (2) that they hold in connection with the performance of their functions under this Part.

The information is—

a

the name, address and date of birth of any individual,

b

any other information that would enable or assist constables of the Police Service of Scotland to satisfy themselves as to the identity of an individual.

Information disclosed under subsection (1) may be used by constables of the Police Service of Scotland only for—

a

the performance of the chief constable's functions under this Part, or

b

the law enforcement purposes within the meaning of section 31 of the Data Protection Act 2018.
