This form must be used for the notification of any State aid measure to support agricultural production methods designed to protect the environment and to maintain the countryside (agri-environment) or to improve animal welfare covered by point IV.C. of the Community Guidelines for State aid in the agriculture and forestry sector 2007 to 2013 (1) (hereinafter called ‘ the guidelines ’ ) and articles 39 and 40 of Council Regulation (EC) No 1698/2005 (2) .

the conservation of high nature-value farmed environments, which are under threat, and increase quality;

the upkeep of the landscape and historical features on agricultural land;
