    Note: I.4A.001 does not apply to computers specially designed for civil automobile or railway train applications.

Analogue computers, ‘ digital computers ’ or digital differential analysers having all of the following characteristics:

Designed or modified for use in space launch vehicles specified in I.9A.001 or sounding rockets specified in I.9A.005; and

b.

Designed as ruggedised or radiation hardened to withstand radiation levels of 5 × 10 3 Gy (silicon) or higher.
