2.DEFINITIONSU.K.
For the purpose of this Annex, the following definitions shall apply:
‘certified reference material’ means reference material as referred to in Articles 5(3)(j) and 17(3)(j) of Regulation (EC) No 1829/2003 and corresponds to any material or substance, one or more of whose property values are certified for calibration or quality control of methods. It is accompanied by a certificate that provides value of the specified property, its associated uncertainty and a statement of metrological traceability;
‘method performance requirements’ means the minimum performance criteria that the method shall demonstrate upon completion of the validation study carried out by the [F1reference laboratory], according to internationally accepted technical provisions.
