ANNEX XU.K.CHECKS ON CONFORMITY OF PRODUCTION FOR REPLACEMENT SILENCING SYSTEM AS A SEPARATE TECHNICAL UNIT
1.GENERALU.K.
These requirements are consistent with the test to be held to check COP in accordance with point 8 of Annex IX.
2.TESTING AND PROCEDURESU.K.
The methods of testing, measuring instruments and interpretation of results shall be those described in point 5 of Annex IX. The replacement silencing system, or components thereof, under test shall be subjected to the test as described in points 5.2, 5.3 and 5.4 of Annex IX.
3.SAMPLING AND EVALUATION OF THE RESULTSU.K.
3.1.One silencing system or components thereof shall be chosen and subjected to the tests of point 2. If the test results fulfil the COP requirements of point 8.1 of Annex IX, the type of silencing system or component shall be considered to be in compliance with COP.U.K.
3.2.If one of the test results does not comply with the COP requirements of point 8.1 of Annex IX, two more silencing systems, or components thereof, of the same type shall be tested pursuant to point 2 of this Annex.U.K.
3.3.If the test results for the second and the third silencing system, or components thereof, comply with the conformity of production requirements of point 8.1 of Annex IX, the type of silencing system, or components thereof, shall be considered to be in compliance with the conformity of production.U.K.
3.4.If one of the test results for the second or third silencing system, or components thereof, does not comply with the COP requirements of point 8.1 of Annex IX, the type of silencing system, or components thereof, shall be considered not to comply with the requirements of this Regulation and the manufacturer shall take the necessary measures to re-establish the conformity.U.K.
