CHAPTER IIIU.K.GEOGRAPHICAL INDICATIONS

Article 42U.K.[F1Article 42 Power to make detailed rules by regulations]

1.The [F2Secretary of State may make regulations] laying down detailed rules concerning:

(a)the form of the product specification referred to in Article 22, and measures on the information to be provided in the product specification with regard to the link between the geographical area and the final product as referred to in point (f) of Article 22(1);

(b)the procedures for, form and presentation of, oppositions as referred to in Articles 27 and 28;

(c)the form and presentation of applications for [F3non-standard, UK standard and UK temporary amendments as referred to in Article 31(3), (5) and (6) respectively] and of communications concerning [F4third country standard and third country] temporary amendments as referred to in Article [F531(7) and (8)] respectively;

(d)the procedures for and form of the cancellation process referred to in Article 32, as well as on the presentation of the requests for cancellation; and

(e)the checks and verifications to be carried out F6..., including testing, as referred to in Article 38.

2.The [F7Secretary of State may make regulations] laying down detailed rules concerning the procedures for, form and presentation of, applications as referred to in Articles 23 and 24, including for applications concerning more than one national territory.
