Service of certain documentsN.I.

104.—(1) The following documents, that is to say—

(a)a notice under Article 25 of the Order of 1981 (notice substituting or varying tenancy agreement);

(b)a notice under Article 26 of that Order (notice increasing Executive rent);

(c)any document to be provided under Chapter II of Part II of the Order of 1983 by theF1. . . landlord of a secure tenancy;

may be served by being sent byF1. . . ordinary post.

(2) A process under Part VI of the Magistrates' Courts (Northern Ireland) Order 1981F2 for the recovery of any sum due to the Executive[F1 or such other body as may be prescribed] on foot of a tenancy agreement may be served—

(a)by being sentF1. . . by ordinary post; or

(b)by any mode of service permitted by magistrates' courts rules.

(3) In section 24(1) of the Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954F3 (service of documents), as it applies to the service by post of any document or process mentioned in paragraph (1) or (2), the word “registering” shall be omitted.
