SCHEDULE 9 CONSEQUENTIAL AMENDMENTS

The Land Registration Act (Northern Ireland) 1970 (c. 18)

1.  In Schedule 11 for paragraph 25 substitute—

“25.   Any order under Article 7 or 8 of the Airports (Northern Ireland) Order 1994.”.

The Fair Trading Act 1973 (c. 41)

2.  In section 133(2)(a) after “the Electricity (Northern Ireland) Order 1992” insert “or Part IV of the Airports (Northern Ireland) Order 1994”.

The Land Acquisition and Compensation (Northern Ireland) Order 1973 (NI 21)

3.—(1) In Article 2(2) in the definition of “aerodrome” for the words from “has the same meaning” to the end substitute “means an airport, as defined in Article 2(2) of the Airports (Northern Ireland) Order 1994;”.

(2) In Article 7(3)(a) for “section 13 of the Aerodromes Act (Northern Ireland) 1971” substitute “Article 22 of the Airports (Northern Ireland) Order 1994”.

4.  In section 174(3)(a) after “the Electricity (Northern Ireland) Order 1992” insert “or Part IV of the Airports (Northern Ireland) Order 1994”.

The Restrictive Trade Practices Act 1976 (c. 34)

5.  In section 41(1)(a) after “the Electricity (Northern Ireland) Order 1992” insert “or Part IV of the Airports (Northern Ireland) Order 1994”.

6.  In Article 2(2) in the definition of “police service” at the beginning of paragraph (c) insert “subject to Article 19(5) of the Airports (Northern Ireland) Order 1994,”.

7.  In section 10(3)(a) after “the Electricity (Northern Ireland) Order 1992” insert “or Part IV of the Airports (Northern Ireland) Order 1994”.

8.  In section 19(3) after paragraph (n) insert—

10.  In section 74(3) after paragraph (l) insert—

13.  In Article 9(3) omit the word “aerodrome” and at the end add “or an airport operator (within the meaning of the Airports (Northern Ireland) Order 1994) authorised under Article 19 of that Order”.

14.  In Article 61(3) after sub-paragraph (r) insert—

“(rr) Part IV of the Airports (Northern Ireland) Order 1994;”.
