Motor Vehicle Testing (Amendment) (Fees) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2001

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the Motor Vehicle Testing Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1995 by increasing the fees payable for most examinations, tests and inspections as follows—

(a) for examinations, re-examinations and appeals for all classes of vehicles under regulation 7(2), 10(3), and 15(1) the fee payable has increased by £1·50;

(b) for a re-examination made within 21 days of the issue of the notice of refusal under regulations 10(4) the fee for all classes of motor vehicles has increased by £1·00; and

(c) for a re-examination under regulation 10(5) the fee payable has increased by £1·00.

The fee payable for a full examination under Article 81 of the Road Traffic (Northern Ireland) Order 1995 (“the Order”) has increased by £1·50.

The fee payable for a test under Article 75(5) of the Order or a partial inspection under Article 81 of the Order for all classes of vehicles has increased by £1·00.

The fee payable for a duplicate certificate for any class of vehicle has increased by £1·00.
