The Taxis (Strabane) (Amendment) Bye-Laws (Northern Ireland) 2005

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Bye-Laws)

These Bye-laws further amend the Taxi (Strabane) Bye-Laws (Northern Ireland) 1988 by—

(1) increasing, in the definition of “taxi”, the number of seated passengers who can be carried from 6 to 8 in addition to the driver;

(2) prohibiting vehicles other than taxis from using the stands and starting places; and

(3) prescribing the new location of the taxi stand in Main Street, Strabane and increasing from 6 to 11 the number of taxis that may stand at that location.

The Taxis (Strabane) (Amendment) Bye-Laws (Northern Ireland) 1996 are revoked as a consequence.
