The Quality of Bathing Water (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2018

The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs being a department designated (1) in relation to the environment for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972(2), makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of that Act.

Citation and commencement

1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Quality of Bathing Water (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2018 and shall come into operation on 31st May 2018.

Interpretation

2.  The Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954(3) applies to these Regulations as it applies to an Act of the Assembly.

Amendments to the Quality of Bathing Water Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2008

3.  For Schedule 1 to the Quality of Bathing Water Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2008(4) substitute the Schedule set out in the Schedule to these Regulations.

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend Schedule 1 of the Quality of Bathing Water Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2008 (as amended) to add Ballyhornan, Cloughey and Kilclief to the list of bathing waters set out in the Schedule to those Regulations.
