Section 20 (offences due to fault of another person)For “any of the preceding provisions of this Part” substitute “regulation 17 of the Fruit Juices and Fruit Nectars (Scotland) Regulations 2013,”.
Section 21 (defence of due diligence)

In subsection (1), for “any of the preceding provisions of this Part” substitute “regulation 17 of the Fruit Juices and Fruit Nectars (Scotland) Regulations 2013,”.

In subsection (2), for “section 14 or 15” substitute “regulation 17 of the Fruit Juices and Fruit Nectars (Scotland) Regulations 2013”.

Section 30(8) (which relates to evidence of certificates given by a food analyst or examiner)For “this Act” substitute “the Fruit Juices and Fruit Nectars (Scotland) Regulations 2013”.

They aim to make the Scottish Statutory Instrument accessible to readers who are not legally qualified and accompany any Scottish Statutory Instrument or Draft Scottish Statutory Instrument laid before the Scottish Parliament from July 2012 onwards. Prior to this date these type of notes existed as ‘Executive Notes’ and accompanied Scottish Statutory Instruments from July 2005 until July 2012.
