45In section 1(1) and (4) of the Rural Water Supplies and Sewerage Act 1944 (government contributions towards expenses of rural water supplies and sewerage) for the word " local" there shall be substituted the word " water ".
46Section 2 of that Act (contributions by county councils towards expenses of rural water supplies and sewerage) shall cease to have effect
