[F1F23(1)The amount specified in a direction by virtue of paragraph 2(1)(c) shall not exceed [F3£15,000] .
(2)The [F4 Secretary of State] may by order made by statutory instrument amend sub–paragraph (1) by substituting for the sum of £1,000 such other sum as he considers appropriate.
(3)Before making any such order the [F4 Secretary of State] shall consult the Law Society.
(4)Any statutory instrument made under this paragraph shall be subject to annulment in pursuance of a resolution of either House of Parliament.]
