65In section 409(1) (payment of fine in part by prisoner), for the words from “by a number” to the end there shall be substituted the words ”(or as the case may be further reduced) by a number of days bearing as nearly as possible the same proportion to such term as the sum so paid bears to the amouunt of the fine outstanding at the commencement of the imprisonment:
Provided that the day on which any sum is paid shall not be regarded as a day served by the prisoner as part of the said term of imprisonment.“.
