Local Government Finance Act 1988, Section 61 is up to date with all changes known to be in force on or before 06 March 2025. There are changes that may be brought into force at a future date. Changes that have been made appear in the content and are referenced with annotations.
(1)The Commissioners of Inland Revenue shall appoint—
(a)a valuation officer for each [F1billing authority], and
(b)the central valuation officer.
(2)The remuneration of, and any expenses incurred by, valuation officers in carrying out their functions under this Part (including the remuneration and expenses of persons, whether or not in the service of the Crown, employed to assist them) shall be paid out of money provided by Parliament.
