Electricity Act 1989, Cross Heading: The Civil Defence Act 1939 (c.31) is up to date with all changes known to be in force on or before 09 March 2025. 4E+W+SIn section 90 of the Civil Defence Act 1939 (interpretation), in the definition of “the appropriate department” for the words “the Electricity Commissioners” (as originally enacted) there shall be substituted the words “the Secretary of State”.
