9In section 14(1) of the M1Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act 1970, for the words “Electricity Consultative Councils, the Electricity Consumers’ Council” there shall be substituted the words “consumers’ committees appointed under section 2 of the Electricity Act 1989”.

10In Part III of Schedule 1 to the M2House of Commons Disqualification Act 1975, there shall be inserted at the appropriate place—
“Chairman of a consumers’ committee appointed under section 2 of the Electricity Act 1989”;
and the like insertion shall be made in Part III of Schedule 1 to the M3Northern Ireland Assembly Disqualification Act 1975.
