Self-Governing Schools etc. (Scotland) Act 1989

General principleS

1SThe board of management of a self-governing school shall, in the exercise of their powers and duties under this Act, have regard to the general principle that, so far as is compatible with—

(a)the scheme of government of the school;

(b)the provision of suitable instruction and training; and

(c)the avoidance of unreasonable public expenditure,

pupils at the school are to be educated in accordance with the wishes of their parents.
