13E+W+SIn section 8 of the Local Government and Planning (Scotland) Act 1982 (power of local authority to enter into arrangements under Employment and Training Act 1973), the words from “shall”, where it first occurs, to “1973” shall be paragraph (a); and after that paragraph there shall be inserted the word “ and ” and the following paragraph—
“(b)shall have power to take part in any arrangements made in pursuance of section 2(3) of the Enterprise and New Towns (Scotland) Act 1990 (which relates to arrangements made by Scottish Enterprise and by Highlands and Islands Enterprise for persons to train for employment etc.).”.
