Goods Vehicles (Licensing of Operators) Act 1995, Section 39 is up to date with all changes known to be in force on or before 03 March 2025. There are changes that may be brought into force at a future date. Changes that have been made appear in the content and are referenced with annotations.
(1)A person is guilty of an offence if he knowingly makes a false statement for the purpose of—
(a)obtaining the issue to himself or any other person of an operator’s licence;
(b)obtaining the variation of any such licence;
(c)preventing the issue or variation of any such licence;
(d)procuring the imposition of a condition or limitation in relation to any such licence; or
(e)obtaining the issue to himself or any other person of a certificate of qualification under section 49 or a certificate or diploma such as is mentioned in paragraph 13(1) [F1or (1A)] of Schedule 3.
(2)A person guilty of an offence under subsection (1) is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding level 4 on the standard scale.
