536 Medical inspection and treatment of pupils at grant-maintained schools.E+W
(1)The governing body of a grant-maintained school shall make arrangements for encouraging and assisting pupils at the school to take advantage of the provision for medical and dental inspection and treatment made for them in pursuance of section 5(1) or (1A) of the M1National Health Service Act 1977 or paragraph 1(a)(i) of Schedule 1 to that Act.
(2)If the parent of a pupil gives notice to the governing body that he objects to the pupil availing himself of any of the provision so made, the pupil shall not be encouraged or assisted to do so.
