Greater London Authority Act 1999, Cross Heading: The Police (Property) Act 1897 is up to date with all changes known to be in force on or before 10 March 2025. 10(1)Section 2 of the M1Police Property Act 1897 (regulations with respect to unclaimed property in possession of the police) shall be amended as follows.U.K.
(2)In subsection (2B) (meaning of “the relevant authority”)—
(a)in paragraph (a) (police areas in England and Wales, other than the metropolitan police district) the words “listed in Schedule 1 to the Police Act 1996 or the City of London police area”, and
(b)paragraph (b) (in relation to the metropolitan police district, the Receiver),
shall cease to have effect.
