176 Interpretation of Chapter 1 E+W

In this Chapter—

• “allocation guidelines” has the meaning given by section 170(1)(b);

• “the Council” means the Sentencing Guidelines Council;

• “the Panel” means the Sentencing Advisory Panel;

• “sentence” and “sentencing” are to be read in accordance with section 142(3);

• “sentencing guidelines” has the meaning given by section 170(1)(a);

• [F2 “youth rehabilitation order” has the meaning given by section 1(1) of the Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2008;

• “youth rehabilitation order with fostering” has the meaning given by paragraph 4 of Schedule 1 to that Act;

• “youth rehabilitation order with intensive supervision and surveillance” has the meaning given by paragraph 3 of Schedule 1 to that Act. ]
