(1)For section 8(4) of the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996 (c. 49) (employment: penalty) substitute—
“(4)A person guilty of an offence under this section shall be liable—
(a)on conviction on indictment, to a fine, or
(b)on summary conviction, to a fine not exceeding the statutory maximum.”
(2)Section 8(9) of that Act (extension of time limit for prosecution) shall cease to have effect.
