Children (Northern Ireland) Order 1995 (S.I. 1995/755 (N.I. 2)) U.K.

99 U.K. After Article 181 insert—

“181A Delegation of functions by Lord Chief Justice

(1) The Lord Chief Justice of Northern Ireland may nominate any of the following to exercise a delegable function—

(a) the holder of one of the offices listed in Schedule 1 to the Justice (Northern Ireland) Act 2002;

(b) a Lord Justice of Appeal (as defined in section 88 of that Act).

(2) In paragraph (1) “delegable function” means a function under any of these provisions of this Order—

(a) Article 4(2);

(b) Article 166(14);

(c) Article 169(5);

(d) Article 170(5);

(e) in Schedule 1, paragraph 6(2);

(f) in Schedule 7—

(i) paragraph 1(1), (2) and (4);

(ii) paragraph 2(1) and (5);

(iii) paragraph 3;

(iv) paragraph 4(4), (6)(a) and (7).”
