(1)Section 247 of the Criminal Justice Act 2003 (release on licence of prisoner serving extended sentence) is amended as follows.
(2)In subsection (2)—
(a)the word “and” at the end of paragraph (a) is omitted, and
(b)paragraph (b) is omitted.
(3)Subsections (3), (4), (5) and (6) are omitted.
