Schedule 12 E+W+S Governance of gas and electricity industry codes: transitional provision

Arrangements in connection with code consolidation E+W+S

7 (1) The GEMA may, in connection with the consolidation of one or more qualifying documents, make a scheme for the purpose of securing the continued effect of rights or liabilities under a contract that is a qualifying contract within paragraph 1(3)(a).

(2) “Consolidation”, in relation to a qualifying document, means the incorporation of the whole or part of the provision made by the document into another document.

(3) A scheme under this paragraph may make incidental, supplementary or consequential provision (including provision amending the qualifying contract).
