40†Consequential amendments, repeals, and transitional provisions.E+W
(1)Any enactment or document referring to an enactment repealed by this Act shall be construed as referring to the corresponding enactment in this Act.
(2)Without prejudice to the generality of subsection (1) of this section—
(a)any enactment excluding the power conferred by subsection (2) of section five of the M1Acquisition of Land (Assessment of Compensation) Act 1919, to withdraw notices to treat shall be construed as excluding any such power conferred by section thirty-one of this Act; and
