Minute of Relinquishment by as Heir Apparent of in the Lands after-mentioned in the Petition at the Instance of [here name and describe the petitioner].
I,A.B.,eldest lawful son [or whatever relation he may be] and nearest lawful heir apparent ofC.D.,the person last infeft in the superiority of the lands of [here describe the lands fully], which right of superiority is holden immediately of and under the Crown [or other over superior, as the case may be], do absolutely and gratuitously [or if any price paid, say,in consideration of £ sterling to be paid to me] relinquish and renounce the superiority of the said lands to which I hold right as heir apparent aforesaid in favour of the petitioner and his successors in the said lands. In witness whereof, &c. [To be signed by the party, or by his mandatory or agent duly authorized in writing, and duly tested.]
