The Isles of Scilly (Financial Provisions) Order 1966

4.  The said Act shall, in its application to the Isles of Scilly, have effect subject to the modifications hereunder—

(i) In section 6—

(a)

In subsection (7), in the definition of “local authority”, the word “and” shall be omitted and at the end there shall be added the words “,and the Council of the Isles of Scilly.”;

(b)

the product of a rate of one penny in the pound shall be taken to be as ascertained or estimated by the district auditor in the ascertainment or estimation of the product of a rate of one penny in the pound for the Isles of Scilly under article 2(x) of the Isles of Scilly (Local Government) Order 1948(1);

(ii) In sections 7(3), 8(7), 10(4)(c) and 12(5), references to a local authority within the meaning of the Local Government Act 1933 shall be construed as including references to a local authority within the meaning of that Act as applied to the Isles of Scilly by the Isles of Scilly Order 1943(2);

(iii) In sections 8(1), (2)(a) and (8)(a) and 11, for the words “this Act” where first occurring there shall be substituted the words “the Isles of Scilly (Financial Provisions) Order 1966”.
